Wiki.Petersens.ws

After my last wiki died from a hardware failure and I didn’t realize the last backup was months old, I decided it was a good point to re-start the Wiki.Petersens.ws project from scratch.

I also modernized the entire stack, using AWS ECS, AWS Aurora Postgres Serverless and AWS EFS. Between Aurora and EFS, all the data is persisted outside of the application container.

The DNS service for the root domain, Petersens.ws, is handled by GoDaddy. The subdomain, Wiki.Petersens.ws, is delegated to AWS Route 53, providing the clean URL for the site.

With the new infrastructure, I double checked to ensure automated backups were in place for both the EFS volume and the Aurora database.

Next step is to start re-creating the wiki applications and pages.
